FAQ …

Below is a short list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) we receive from website visitors interested in our online fax service. Please review these FAQ before you contact us to help reduce the number of customer support calls.

1. How much does PayPerFax cost to send and receive?

At Pay Per Fax there are no monthly fees to send or receive a fax. You simply pay a per page price when you send a fax or receive a fax - as little as $0.75 for the 1st page and $0.40 for each additional page. Please click here for fees table.

2. What do I need to use PayPerFax?

No software or equipment is needed to send or receive a fax. You only need access to the internet, an email address, and to sign up for a Pay Per Fax account. After you sign up you can send and receive faxes immediately from virtually anywhere: from your home, office, client's office, hotel, airport, etc.

3. Can I send or receive faxes at anytime?

Yes. You can send or receive a fax 24 hours a day seven days a week.

4. How long can I reserve a number to receive a fax?

You may reserve a toll-free or local fax number for 30 minutes without charge to receive a fax. You may reserve a fax number for 1 to 7 days for a small fee of $1 per day. After this period, you will have to re-reserve a fax number. Please note that you may receive a different fax number each time.

5. Are my documents secure?

Yes. Our private server is scanned daily by a third party to help identify any potential security threats. All your member information and fax documents are transferred using a verifiable SSL Certificate that utilizes 128-bit encryption. This level of encryption is the norm for online banking websites. Even higher spy grade 256-bit encryption is available to compatible browsers. All uploaded documents are scanned for viruses, and are deleted from our server automatically after 48 hours. You also have the option to delete your fax documents after they have been sent.

6. What methods of payment do you accept?

Credit card, debit card, echeck, and PayPal. All payments are processed securely through our PayPal gateway, however, you do not need a PayPal account to use our services. Simply process your payment as a guest. For added security we do not store your financial information.

7. Do you give refunds for fax errors?

Most fax errors result from entering bad numbers, voice instead of fax numbers, no answer, or issues with the receiving fax machine such as out of paper, out of ink, canceled by receiver and so on. Since we monitor the fax queue we often issue refunds soon after the error occurs. You can contact us (preferably by email) to alert us to any errors which require a refund. You may continue to use our system while you wait for a refund, however, please try to contact the receiver to ensure that you have the correct fax number before trying again.

8. How can I fax more than 2 pages at once?

If your 10 page document was scanned as 10 separate files, then we suggest that you merge the files into one. Your printer/scanner software may have this feature. If not, search the web for "PDF merge" for example. Your printer/scanner may also have an option to create a multi-page PDF, which if you re-scan and use, will combine multiple pages into one file.

9. How do I resend a fax?

Our system will automatically make three attempts to send your fax - when you click send, 5 minutes later, and 30 minutes later if necessary. If you get an error as a result, you should communicate with the receiver to ensure that you have the correct number and that their fax machine is working and shows no visible error alerts (out of ink, out of paper, etc). If you are in a rush we suggest that you upload, pay for, and send the fax again. Your previous fax with the error will be refunded. As a courtesy we can resend faxes for you upon request, however, you are still responsible for verifying delivery of the fax (call the receiver or visit the My Faxes page). There may be a delay before we are able to service requests to resend.

10. Compatible with Mac and Mobile devices?

We do not use Flash or any technology that would prevent Mac or mobile devices from using our services. A few Mac users have notified us of difficulty trying to send and receive faxes. If you can navigate our site and have made any online payments in the past, then your device is most likely compatible. If you receive errors while on a Mac or mobile device, please email us the details of such errors so that we can update any compatibility requirements.
